About Kim

Kim by Jacob
You couldn't find a better daughter, friend, sister, wife, mother or person than Kim is.  She is the perfect person for me and the perfect mother to the kids we already have and any future kids that will come into our life.  She allows our house to be the "cool" place for the kids to come and bring their friends.  We always have kids and friends running around outside, she purposely wanted to leave the backyard as a big flat piece of grass for the kids to be able to play on.  We did plant trees so the soccer balls and footballs would have a harder time making it into the neighbors yards though.

Kim is definitely the most creative person I've ever met. She always has a plan of something to do soon or in the far future.  Like the month we were getting married, we bought a house, took everything out of it, replaced carpet, tiled every location we wanted, painted every square inch, worked full time and don't forget planned a wedding.  All in 30 days.  Within a year we took on having the whole house wiped of all stucco and new put on, ripped down our old deck and built a new one ourselves that's more than twice as big.  She loves to change up the yard, the living room or any other room for that matter.

She has worked for a National Long Term Care Pharmacy for over 4 1/2 years; she loves her job because she gets to work from home. She has always found creative ways to earn money by using her talents. She is the owner of her own creative sign and craft company. She has had success in this not only because of her love to be creative but her ability to design and having "an eye" for making breath-taking things seem like her 2nd nature. She has been making crafts and scrapbooking since she was 12 years old.

She also loves to throw parties and entertain in our home. Holidays are a VERY big deal in our home. Decorating even for the simplest holiday is a family tradition. You will never have any doubts what holiday is coming up driving by our home. The kids are always involved in holiday decorating projects, they make sugar cookies from scratch for Valentines and for Halloween to give to family and friends every year since the kids were little. Her new love is to get ideas off pinterest and actually make or do them, this is one of those ideas.

She loves to be outdoors with her family. Camping in our pop up trailer is always an adventure. She has many fears... heights & speed together, reptiles, having broken bones etc. But she has to put it all aside for the boys in her life because she is out numbered. 4 wheeling is at the top of the favorite list but exploring the outdoors and just being out with her family is good enough. She will try just about anything I ask her to try (Sushi, 4 Wheeling, Cliff Jumping). I just haven't gotten her to hold our snake.

Kim loves to help people both young and old. She has volunteered in her church, schools and community for years she has been given many rewards for her service in friendship and all the great blessings of seeing her work bring happiness. Her favorite thing was she organized, designed and painted a mural at the kid’s (old)elementary school in the Library (with the help of many volunteers, including our 3 boys). The final project brought excitement and happiness to almost 900 students. This 50 year old school library made with cinder block walls, ended up with life size murals of different parts of the world and their native animals.
I bought Kim a new camera for her B-day because she loves taking pictures...all the time any occasion; she keeps family and friends updated on life by Facebook. We have a special shelf in our den dedicated to scrapbooks; she loves to write in her journal and loves anything that’s old; stories of historical significance, antiques and other peoples junk she has a talent for making it new and fun to her (Just look at the old Wheel Barrow in our front yard).

She loves and supports all of us boys in all we do…or all we would ever want to do.
